Hidden Pond is a lovely country site that was created to offer a venue for weddings, rehearsals, family reunions, birthday celebrations or small club luncheons. The historical house located on the property was brought to its present day beauty by Lee Glenn and his sons, Lawrence and Anderson. The Glenn family goes back many generations in Mitchell County. In fact, the property on which this venue is located was once a part of J.L “Lawrence” Glenn’s estate. The house is one that has been transformed from a part of the Hinsonton school, which was built in the early 1900s. The school house was closed in 1945 and remained on the same property until 1983 when the Glenn family moved it to the present location. Lee Glenn and his sons began refurbishing it in 2015 and now it is ready to make your wedding or celebration more than wonderful. The name Hidden Pond was selected because of its secluded spot among a charming wooded area of trees, natural green shrubs, and grasses. The pond on the north and west side of the house presents a beautiful view as well as good fishing for those who wish to indulge in the sport. The management has created a charming house with lovely furnishings with an atmosphere that will make you feel at home. You will want to move in and stay a while.
